Rules of Axe Throwing at AxeScape
1. All participants must sign a waiver prior to play.
2. All throwers must be at least 12 years of age and show the ability to safely throw the axe to the target. All participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
3. All participants must wear closed toed shoes no high heels allowed.
4. Only one thrower at a time in the throwing lane and no trick shots.
5. Remain entirely behind the throwing line until the thrown axe comes to a stop. Retrieve axe after each throw. Pull from bottom of axe to retrieve from target. Return the axe to the axe holder – do not hand to another participant.
6. Throw the axe with one or two hands so that the blade faces the target before release.
7. One foot must remain on the floor during throws.
8. No outside food or drink.
9. No outside axes unless approved.
10. Absolutely zero tolerance for horseplay.
11. Our employees have the right to remove you from play if the above rules are not followed.
Anyone with the following physical or mental conditions should exercise caution when playing:
- Women who may be pregnant
- Back, shoulder and/or neck ailments
- Heart ailments
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Any other physical or mental condition that might be affected by playing or might prevent you from throwing the axe safely.
Axe Throwing has become a very popular hobby in the last decade. It may sound dangerous but is actually quite easy to learn and we have designed our lanes with your safety and fun in mind. One of our professional instructors will be there to guide you. Once you stick one, you will be hooked! Be sure and ask about fun games you can play to mix things up. Some we suggest are Cricket, 21, HORSE, and Around the World.
